Give Back Biz was founded out of a passion for service and dedication to helping those in need and giving back to our communities.
Erika Dobrotka is active in the General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC – the world’s largest all Women’s philanthropic organization) having held multiple positions at the state, district and local levels along with being active in her local club’s charitable activities. She recognizes the need for volunteerism and understands the impact just a few hours of time can have for organizations and their benefactors. She has contacts at and connections to many organizations, thus the foundation of Give Back Biz’s network of partner organizations.
Organizations with volunteer programs that include employee giving and engagement opportunities reap the rewards and return on their investment as well. Research shows that skills-based volunteering presents an opportunity for employees to develop their professional and leadership skills, and often results in increased productivity, and ultimately increased employee retention.
Give Back Biz can help you engage your employees while helping the community at large.
Today, businesses are interested in being recognized as good corporate citizens, and employee volunteer events are one of the best ways to demonstrate such a commitment. Companies, particularly those that are small- to medium-sized, cite a lack of resources as the primary obstacle to corporate volunteerism. While these businesses keep pace with larger firms in valuing corporate volunteerism and charitable contributions, they also find it increasingly difficult to plan and execute volunteer events for their employees. When small businesses outsource non-core activities, Management can focus on the business of running their business.
This is where Give Back Biz can help. We will research, plan, and manage employee volunteer events, as well as manage corporate charitable contributions for your company. These events can range from a simple clothing or blood drive to full employee driven volunteer event for a charity of your choosing. For a list of charities, click here or see the Partners page.
Tell us the causes that align with your corporate model and values and we can find an organization to benefit from your employees’ volunteer efforts.
Volunteerism comes naturally to me. As a member of both my local General Federation of Women’s (GFWC) club and the Illinois State GFWC organization, I have organized, administered, and participated in many and various activities that serve the community.
In my more than 15 years of volunteer experience, every volunteer event I participate in or organize is different yet also the same. Although the type of activities and the benefactors change, my passion for volunteerism and my compassion for those in need remains constant. I am proud to say that my willingness to lend a hand is shared by my family as my mother and sister are also members of these clubs.
Give Back Biz was founded out of my passion for and involvement in volunteerism coupled with the desire to show others the benefits of volunteering and the knowledge that many organizations are in need of help. Let me organize volunteer events for your company that will provide you the opportunity to give back to your community while providing your employees the sense of accomplishment that comes from personal volunteerism.
Volunteers are the backbone of charitable efforts and when companies recognize and reward those efforts, employees become more engaged, productive and happier in the workplace.
I have founded or co-founded several companies and I’m constantly exploring ways for my employees to give back to their local communities. I’ve always integrated charity and volunteer programs into my corporate business goals and values. Involving employees in a mix of volunteer work and charity programs gives employees a sense of purpose. It makes them feel more connected to the community and your company-wide social responsibility efforts.
Launching and building new businesses, relationships and helping communities has been the cornerstone of my career and this is why I co-founded Give Back Biz. Businesses that are driven by purpose and mission, in addition to profit, inspires employees, clients and investors. Through Give Back Biz, I can help further your organization’s purpose by creating volunteer programs that benefits your employees, your community and your business. Giving back to our local communities makes good business sense.
